How I became a Gamer:

Well, that's a short story. This whole gamer/computer/youknowwhat thingy did not just come out of nowhere. There where pioneers who started this whole hype. My parents are ranked among them. And what do gamer parents usually do? You guessed right! They buy their children some consoles and videogames. The rest of the story is kind of obvious.

How I came to use the Internet:

I've got around a lot for my young age and I've seen many different places, countrys and people. But the circumstances which made me travell around that much also made it hard to stay in touch with friends and such, which forced me to rely on something that stays the same, no matter where you are. This "something" was the Internet.

How I got into art: My little Pony.

Story time:

I started watching MLP in December of 2011. It was very late, it was snowy outside and me and a veeeery good friend of mine were in a random skype conversation with like 6 other people which I did not really know but they were kind of pleasant.
We got bored, and did not know what to do. I had been following the donations for the Humble Indie Bundle 3 (I believe) and I saw that the top donator was someone called "Humble Brony Bundle". I was kind of curious and just clicked on it, which led me to a twitter account, which led me to a blog and what I just saw was unbelievably wierd.
Grown up men watching My little Pony? They could not be serious!
As mentioned, we were really bored, so I made the suggestion that we watch it together.
No sooner said than done. After a quick google search I found a video called "My little Pony: Freundschaft ist Magie Folge 1" by MyLittlePonyDE (who sadly by now deleted all the episodes). I posted it into the chat and we all started watching it.
Sure, we laughted our arses of about the pony names and we found "Equestria" as the name of the land hilarious. But what we all noticed, was that we did not just laugh about the unintentional hilarity, the shows humor itself was what made us laugh the most.
So at the end of the day (which was at like 3 am) I promised myself to watch the next episode on the next day.
Well, I did not keep my promise, it took me a week to get started again, but then everything went by really fast.
I watched the whole first season in one day just to realise that second season was not translated yet, so I just watched the first season again, but this time I watched 1 episode a day so that I could enjoy it much longer. The comments sucked me into the Fandom and I got overwhelmed by all these nice people, art, music and so on. I was absorbed into My little Pony. I started to recommend it to everyone I knew and the fandom got me the backing to be able to admit that I was a Brony. We (the people who watched it in the conversation that night) started to convert everything and everyone in our surroundings into Bronies. We even established a skype conversation containing friends of ours (and their friends [and their friends]) who we all converted into Bronies.
However, this was a very optimistic time in which everything seemed nice and fine.
Eventually Youtube noticed my video history beeing full of ponies and started recommending pony-vids.
It recommended a video about vectoring ponies, I got curious and searched for it on Youtube.
I stumbled across a Video by MLPvectors (aka OrangeL89) who explained how to do them. I had the strong feeling that I had to give something back to this wonderfull series.
And this is the story of how I started doing art.
